my vision

An artist wearing a red cap, black hoodie, and paint-splattered pants is on a scaffold drawing on a pink wall with black marker. The artist is focused on their work, and a shadow of their arm and marker is cast on the wall.

I have a progressive vision for our city.  I think we need to make sure our staffing needs are taken care of first and foremost. The staff do the people’s business, and those jobs are their livelihoods; staff are overworked and that’s unacceptable. The City Commission should be an ally to city staff so that our city can provide better support and services to our residents.

Secondly, our residents deserve to know what’s going on, and to be a part of the process. I believe the public have a voice, and deserve to be heard.

The city also needs to look at its budget from top to bottom. That’s something I have a lot of experience with having served on various boards and organizations in the community. I want to put that experience to work. We need to spend wisely and keep the quality of our services high. And that’s what I’m going to do if I’m elected.
